our weekend was a rainy one--we found ourselves sticking close to home and getting outside as we could between storms. the weekend felt long for a change, instead of incredibly short--always a good thing. here's what we were up to:
it so happens that chickens are big fans of worms and grubs... much to lucy's delight.
sitting practice...
he's getting good!
a little extra help never hurts...
the un-doing of one of my wool dryer balls (naughty dog!)...
a new (much bigger) house for our growing baby chicks...
stove-popped popcorn (we didn't really let him eat it, of course, but he did have a blast playing in the bowl)... 
a snuggly nap...
and farm box stew for dinner... perfect for chilly spring weather!

I don't know which pic is my favorite; the one that looks like lucy and hudson fell back onto the grass and she has a huge smile, or the one where they are napping together. Precious!
